Flat ad The ad design is made to look like it came from a math teacher's desk. It exploits teen curiosity and the phenomenon of cheating by masquerading as a set of math test answers instead of a typical full-page ad.
Closed ad "Misplaced" inside a teen magazine, this folded ad was designed to feel cheap and look sketchy in a counterfeit kind of way.
Opened ad Because the anxiety of growing up is so intense, Redbull was positioned as a drink to help teens focus in school.
Pop up ad Once opened, a pull tab revealed a pop up Redbull. The copy reads, "There's a better way to ace an impossible exam. Red Bull improves performance and increases mental concentration so thinking is clear."
Pop up reveal, animated The pop up portion was fully functional and worked in reverse.
Redbull Ad

Brief
Redbull offered my class at SCAD a chance to compete in an advertising competition with their company. The specifications were simple: use the Redbull logo, fonts and colors but make sure the concept gave them wings. Execution was open. This project won a Silver SCADDY for print advertising.
